Primer One, Winter

  • Twelve weeks of Language Lessons with a seasonal focus.

    Weekly routine includes copybook, narration from accompanying literature, grammar, and spelling lessons based on copybook model, nature study, and picture study.

    Spelling and grammar lessons reinforce spelling rules, introduce basic sentence skills including punctuation and capitalization, and develop rhyming skills.

  • Do the Primer One books have to be used in sequence?

    Autumn, Winter, and Spring are generally sequential in skills, but can be used out of sequence if necessary.

    What skills should my student have before starting Primer One?

    The Primer One student should have achieved beginning spelling and phonics proficiency, be ready for beginning chapter books, and be able to copy words and sentences.

    Can Primer One be used by older students?

    Primer One is generally appropriate for 2nd-3rd grade students but could be used effectively by older students as well.
